Creative wedding ceremony ideas

Who didn’t dream of eventually getting married? From the young age we pick our sweethearts and hope one day we’ll tie the knot. But if you were to pick that day, how would it be? Do you want a big wedding in an old church followed by a dinner at a country estate or do you dream of sunset ceremony for the two of you on the Balinese beach? Have you thought of creative wedding ceremony ideas ?

I’ve always been curious about how people people their wedding locations (apart from the obviously convenient ones). How about some creative wedding ceremony ideas ?

Wedding planners have recently become particularly creative and the choice of wedding venues rapidly expanded. Whether you will end up with an adventurous or a very conservative partner check our post would surely give you some extraordinary ideas for that special day.

In the air

Not as high in the sky as heaven but a good 50 metres above the ground hangs your cosy platform that houses your special occasion. You can pick your favourite location anywhere in the world and invite 20 of your friends to share the experience. The guests will be cosily seated in the aircraft seat and secured with a belt. Very adventurous choice but hardly for the faint-hearted.

Underwater

Whether you are a certified diver or never tried scuba you can mark your deep feelings with a deep dive in Bali. You can be wed at the depth of up to 25 metres with all the official documents done there and then. As per the custom you will be joined by the two witnesses, a religious minister, and diving instructor, and can also add the optional extras such as photographer, videographer, and underwater lilies.

In the cave

The Sala Silvermine Hotel, in Vdstmanland County, Sweden is a deep cave that is accessible through a mine lift shaft. You arrive at a depth of 60m to enter the establishment, descend another 100m to the banquet hall and when you are done with the celebration slowly move into your honeymoon suite next door, all at 155m deep.

Bohemia in Vienna

Fancy a romantic setting with a view? Head to the famous Giant Ferris Wheel in Vienna. 15 cabins provide visitors with a unique experience depending on your ambitions from the 1897 bohemia to the more modern Swarowski crystal design.

Ice church

If your love keeps you warm why not tie the knot in the ice church in Lapland? The ceremony is conducted in a beautiful white fairy-tale like surrounding skilfully created with ice and snow. Ice church is part of the IceHotel where you can throw an ice party and spend a few days of your honeymoon.

In the jungle

Prince on a white horse is a common fantasy so why not substitute it with an elephant? Head to Thailand where a host will arrange a beautiful reception, place you both on your ‘transport’ and guide you through the jungle stopping to feed monkeys, watch the birds and swim in the lakes on your way.

Your family will surely have a say in the planning of the occasion and perhaps the venues above are for the more private of us, but it certainly gives you a little twist.
